ThyssenKrupp is building world’s first ‘green hydrogen plant’

On January 18, 2021, ThyssenKrupp Eurosteel announced that it has signed a contract with Hydro Quebec for the Green Hydrogen project to build an 88 MW electrolytic water plant for Hydro Quebec upon completion of the full project study. The plant that is to be built in Varennes, Quebec, will produce 11,100 tons of green hydrogen per year and will be the world’s first and largest green hydrogen production facility.
